Brio sealing and fixing products prevent leakage and leakage at many connection points such as valves, pipes, fire hydrants, gaskets, nut connections, natural gas connections, drinking water valves, combi boiler connection bolts, heater connections, compressor connections and ensure that two interlocking bolt parts last the desired time. It ensures that it is fixed and locked. Since Brio sealing products have high temperature resistance and pressure resistance, they show maximum performance in hot environments up to 150-180 degrees, and the structure of the applied products can withstand cold ambient temperatures of -50 degrees without deterioration. While Brio pipe and fitting sealing and fixing products are divided into 2 groups: Medium and High strength, the liquid seal group specially produced for the automotive industry is supplied in 4 different colors and three different sizes.
What are the Features of Brio Sealing and Stabilizer Products?
High Strength Threadlockers
Brio High Strength Threadlocker fixes bolts, studs, nuts and plug connections that do not want to be removed again and is resistant to temperatures between -55°C and +150°C. It does not drip or flow after adhesion. It is easy to apply and has sealing properties.
Areas of Use: It is used in engine studs, cylinder block connection studs, water pump coupling connections, white goods industry, automotive industry and engine construction, metal and tool manufacturing, electrical and electronic material production. Resistant to many bases, gases, solvents, oils and fuels.
Medium Strength Threadlocker
Brio Medium Strength Threadlocker is a removable, general purpose, anaerobic product that can withstand temperatures between -55°C and +150°C. It does not drip or flow after adhesion. It is easy to apply and has sealing properties.
Areas of Use: It is used in all bolt and nut sizes, machine adjustment bolts, hydraulic system bolts, bearing housing bolts, carrier conveyor belt bolts, in the automotive industry and engine construction. It is resistant to many alkaline solutions, gases, solvents, oils and fuels.
Retaining Compounds
BRIO Retaining Compound is a high strength adhesive product used to fix bearings, bushings and cylinder parts on the shaft. It is resistant to vibration and prevents the fixed parts from moving.
Areas of Use: It can be used to fix all kinds of bearings and bushing parts.
Sealant Products
BRIO Pipe Thread Sealant is a general purpose liquid thread sealant for metal threads. It fixes the connections against loosening caused by vibration. It provides low pressure sealing when applied and is resistant to fuel, oil, coolants and hydraulic fluids. Suitable for metal-metal and plastic-metal threaded connections. It is approved for drinking water applications. It does not cause contamination with its non-drip formulation. It maintains its sealing feature against impacts and vibration.
Areas of Use: Suitable for metal gears. Pipe threads, pressure vessels, air compressors, hydraulic systems and tanks through which all kinds of water, oil, grease and many chemicals pass, and places that require resistance to vibration.
Sealing Compounds
Brio Sealing Compound is a high-strength, moisture-hardening, elastic and neutral silicone developed to be used in works such as gasketing, sealing, glazing and adhesion on surfaces exposed to high temperatures. It is resistant to temperatures between -50°C and +300°C. It is easy to apply.
Areas of Use: In automobiles, machines, heating systems, industrial furnaces, chimneys, in sealing applications that will be exposed to high heat and/or high temperature changes, in the external surface insulation of engine oil pans, valve and thermostat covers, gears, water pumps and containers where high temperature resistance is desired. It is used in sealing and gasketing applications in joints and cracks.
How to Use Sealing Products?
Make sure that the surface to be applied is clean and free from oil, dirt and moisture. After cleaning, apply directly from the bottle or with a brush as a preliminary preparation.
As detailed application:
1. Apply the adhesive 360 degrees to the first threads of the male and female pipe fittings.
2. Wipe off excess product in the direction of the teeth with an absorbent cloth or tissue.
3. Assemble the parts and leave at 22-24°C for 24 hours to ensure complete curing.
4. For disassembly, use hand tools to separate assembled parts.
5. If disassembly at room temperature is not possible, apply local heating until it reaches 250°C and disassemble while hot. Then mechanically remove any remaining cured adhesive and clean the parts with a suitable solvent such as acetone.
How to Use Sealant Products?
1. Make sure that the surface to be applied is clean and free from oil, dirt and moisture. Before assembling the male and female parts, clean them with an absorbent cloth or tissue to thoroughly remove cutting oil.
2. Apply the adhesive 360 degrees to the first 3 threads of the male and female parts.
3. Wipe off excess product in the direction of the teeth with an absorbent cloth or tissue.
4. Assemble the parts and leave at 22-24°C for 24 hours to ensure complete curing.
5. For disassembly, use hand tools to separate assembled parts.
6. If disassembly at room temperature is not possible, apply local heating until it reaches 150°C and disassemble while hot. Then mechanically remove any remaining cured adhesive and clean the parts with a suitable solvent such as acetone.
How to Disassembly Sealant Products?
1. To disassemble, heat the connection area with a heater or hot water.
2. Disassemble it using Brio Pliers or similar hand tools.
3. Clean the residues with solvents such as Acetone.
How to Use Sealant Products?
1. Make sure that the surface to be applied is clean and free from oil, dirt and moisture.
2. Application temperature: between +5°C and +40°C.
3. Apply the liquid seal to only one surface and assemble it after 7 minutes at the latest.
4. Store in cool and dry places.
General Warnings
Use gloves before application. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Apply in well-ventilated environments. Do not breathe the vapor. The application surface must be clean, dry, dust-free and oil-free. Protect from frost, direct sunlight and temperatures above 50°C. Keep out of reach of children.
